University Projects
These projects were created for class assignments, either solo or with a group. They encompass a range of mediums and roles, showcasing my versatility and commitment to exploring different aspects of game design. Each project reflects my dedication to learning, innovation, and collaboration, contributing to my growth as a game designer.
Capstone Projects
Capstone projects were year-long classes in groups of students with similar interests. Throughout these classes, I learned a lot about collaboration, project management, and the iterative design process. Working closely with my peers, I gained valuable insights into team dynamics and the importance of clear communication. These projects allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges, resulting in the creation of polished game prototypes. We were instructed to create one digital and one analog game, which can be found below.
2D Platformer Adventure Game
My role in this game was designing and developing the movement script along with couple of level designs. I also assisted in integrating game mechanics and game design document. This game was presented at the ISU Game Showcase for other students to play. Screenshots can be found below and the itch.io link above.
Competitive Board Game
Title: Aggricultist
Platform: Board Game
Genre: Fantasy Strategy
In this unique competitive board game inspired by Monopoly and Magic: The Gathering, players can buy and play their monster cards to protect their land or overtake others. My job for this game was balancing the game mechanics using iterative game design process. The end result was successful and provided great experience working on analog games.
